“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss

I could fill this whole page up with quotes expressing the passion of Reading but that would take away the very purpose of creating this page. As far as I can remember, I’ve always loved reading ….

This page here is to express my personal views on the books that I’ve read over time and this page will keep updating time and again as and when I am done with reading a new book.

The first fiction novel which I read of my all time favourite author Sidney Sheldon was “Morning, Noon & Day” and there was no looking back from there, I’ve read each and every novel written by Sidney Sheldon. He was known to be the world’s most translated author, I thoroughly enjoyed reading his novels because each page unfolded a mystery waiting to be solved! You simply couldn’t resist burning the mid-night oil reading away, lost in the realm of the dreams that Sidney weaved through his writing.

Some of my favourite titles by him are listed below :

  • Nothing lasts forever
  • If tomorrow comes
  • Master of the Game
  • Tell me your dreams

Honestly, I could re-read any novel of Sidney Sheldon any given day and still feel the thrill reading them over and over again just like the first time.

Another author whose books I love reading is Mitch Albom. His books are of a different level. We often tend to take everything in our lives for granted be it our parents, our loved ones, our lives, our friends – everythin’

His books teaches us life’s greatest lessons, makes us realize how we must cherish those special moments, it makes us reflect back on things that happened, could’ve-would’ve-should’ve happened , in the end his books make us smile with tears in our eyes. Don’t wait for another moment – go tell your loved ones how special they are, how much they mean to you! And if you haven’t read these books yet, grab your copy NOW!

Dan Brown – Here’s an author who gets your pulse race faster as the pages unfold the mysteries. Controversial, fictional, or facts whatever he writes grabs the interest of the readers in the first few pages itself. But more than the solving of the mysterious murders and secret societies which we didn’t know existed, what really makes Dan’s work enjoyable are the places he describes so precisely in his novels. When I read “The Da Vinci Code” I wanted to go visit France and see the Lourve Museum for myself !!

While I was reading “Angels & Demons” I could just imagine the Beautiful Vatican City and I just wanted to be there!! I truly enjoy the experience of “being” there without having been there.

If Mitch Albom’s books teach you to treasure your special moments and also all about life’s greatest lessons, Paolo Coelho’s “The Alchemist” teaches about life’s first and foremost important lesson “TO DREAM” .

If it wasn’t for those dreams that we all have, our lives wouldn’t be where it is now. It is THE most important thing in life, one should always have dreams and hopes  for them to come true , they must also have the faith that those dreams will come true someday….. that’s exactly what Paolo depicts in his writing.  His writing inspires you, it stirs your soul and you feel as if you’ve got a whole new life after reading his work.  He makes your dreams come back into your life.

 JODI Picoult

Over the summer, I picked up some novels written by this fabulous writer, my next favourite author. She beautifully manages to express the dark emotions in her writing. Feelings we all feel, are afraid to feel, feelings we often wonder about – had we been in that place WHAT WOULD WE DO?
